Scientific notation

(4.5 x 1011)(3.1 x 104) = 1.395 x 1016

Walk through:
1: add like numbers so 1011 would go with 104  and together so the final number would be 1016
2:multiply the two whole #s 4.5 x 3.1 = 1.395 as seen above
3: the real numbers are 450,000,000,000 x 31,000 = 13,950,000,000,000,000 so we just want to make those numbers smaller, so we take the first # in those big ones, put decimals after it, and however many # are after that we write 10 to the x power.

Reflective Blog Post #1

Looking back on my first week as an Arapahoe  Warrior, I see that it's not as easy as it looked from  middle school perspective. I have already found out that it i very easy to loose track of time among other things. One goal that I am setting for myself for Algebra is to maintain a good foothold in there grade-wise and to seek out help when it looks as though something may stand between me and that goal. The goal I am setting for school alone is to stay on top of the ball with homework and my studies while maintaining a good work hard play hard balance. My third and final goal for out of school is to have good relationships with my friends and family.
